JaneMelyn (Jane) Strode (b. 2003) is an emerging artist whose work explores identity, introspection, and connection through portraiture of herself and loved ones. She works primarily with oil paint, producing medium-to-large scale paintings focusing on saturated color and specific detail. Jane received her BFA in drawing and painting from the University of Colorado, Boulder, and is now pursuing an MFA in painting at Boston University College of the Fine Arts.

In addition to her fine arts practice, Jane works as a freelance illustrator, and is now a published illustrator for Shirley the Sheep, a children's book by Joe Gibbons, and Step Aside: Strategies for Student-Driven Learning with Secondary Readers and Writers by Sarah M. Zerwin.
